Tidra Privacy Policy

Tidra Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026  ·  Applies to: the Tidra app for Android (and iPhone and iPad, when released)

The short version

The rest of this page says the same thing in more detail. If you live in Washington, Nevada or another state with a consumer health data law, also see our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

Tidra is made by Ebbli Software Services LLC, doing business as Ebbli (“we”, “us”). Tidra is offered in the United States. You can reach us at support@tidra.fit. Postal address: 8401 Mayland Dr, Ste A, Richmond, VA 23294, United States.

Because Tidra keeps your data on your own device and in your own accounts, we hold none of it, apart from any email you choose to send us. This policy explains what the app stores, where it goes, and who else is involved.

2. What Tidra stores on your phone

Tidra keeps this information in the app’s private storage on your device:

This information is health-related and personal. We treat it as sensitive: it is not used for advertising, profiling or anything other than showing you your own progress.

3. What can leave your phone, and only because you chose it

Backup & sync (Google Drive)

If you sign in with Google under Profile → Backup & sync, Tidra saves a copy of your data to Google Drive’s hidden app data folder for Tidra. Only Tidra, signed in as you, can read that folder; it does not show up in your normal Drive files.

The copy contains your weigh-ins (including body fat and notes), the days you deleted, your setup and milestones, your preferences, and a list of your devices (each device’s model name and when it last synced). It is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) straight from your phone to Google. It does not pass through any server of ours.

Tidra asks Google for one permission only: access to its own hidden app folder (drive.appdata). It cannot see your other Drive files, emails or contacts.

Automatic backup and syncing between devices is part of Tidra Plus. Backing up manually and restoring are free.

Google handles that data under Google’s Privacy Policy. To remove the copy, see “Your choices” below.

Health Connect (Android)

If you connect Health Connect, Tidra can read weight and body fat entries (for example from a smart scale) and write the weigh-ins you log in Tidra. You choose which of these to allow, and you can change this in Tidra or in Android’s Health Connect settings at any time. Health Connect stores data on your device under Android’s own rules. Tidra never sends Health Connect data anywhere except where you have chosen to back it up as part of your own weigh-ins (Drive backup, above).

Feedback and support (email)

Profile → Help & feedback → Send feedback and Email support open your own email app with a new message to ideas@tidra.fit or support@tidra.fit. Nothing is sent until you press Send in your email app. To help us answer, the message starts with a short line showing the Tidra version, your phone’s operating system version and model, and the app’s language. You can read it, change it or delete it before sending. It never includes your weigh-ins, notes, goal or settings. Email to these addresses is delivered through Cloudflare Email Routing to the email service we use to read and answer it; both handle it only to deliver and store our mail.

Our website

tidra.fit, where this policy lives, sets no cookies and has no analytics or advertising tools. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, sees each visitor’s IP address and browser details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy. The app doesn’t use the website except to open this policy and the terms when you tap them.

Purchases (Google Play)

If you buy Tidra Plus, the purchase is handled entirely by Google Play (or the App Store on Apple devices). Tidra does not see or store your card or payment details. It only learns whether you have Plus, and for how long, so it can unlock the right features.

Android’s own device backup

Android may back up an app’s data to your Google account as part of its own device backup (and copy it when you move to a new phone), depending on your phone’s settings. That is controlled by your phone and Google, not by Tidra, and you can turn it off in Android settings. For Tidra this covers your weigh-ins, setup and preferences, so a new phone can pick up where you left off. It deliberately leaves out what belongs to one device: your app-lock PIN (even the hashed form), your Health Connect link, and your Google Drive backup sign-in. A new phone asks for its own lock and sign-in.

Things you send out yourself

If you use Export as CSV, the file is saved or shared wherever you choose. If you import a file, Tidra reads it on your device. Tidra’s widgets and reminder notifications are drawn on your device and are not sent anywhere.

4. What we receive

Nothing about you or your weigh-ins. Tidra has no analytics, advertising or tracking libraries, does not phone home, and has no server of ours to talk to.

When you install from Google Play, Google may give us aggregate, anonymous information through the Play Console (for example install counts, crash and “app not responding” reports if you have chosen to share diagnostics with Google, and subscription counts). That comes from Google, not from the app, and it does not include your weigh-ins.

If you email us (support or ideas), we will see your email address and whatever your message contains, and we will use it only to reply and, for ideas, to decide what to build. We don’t add you to a mailing list.

5. Permissions Tidra asks for

Permission Why
Internet and network state Only to talk to Google Drive for backup and to Google Play for purchases.
Notifications Your weigh-in reminders, the weekly summary and milestone messages. You can turn each off.
Run at startup To set your reminders again after your phone restarts.
Health Connect: read and write weight and body fat, and read history Only if you connect Health Connect, so scale and app readings can arrive and your weigh-ins can be saved there.
Biometric (fingerprint or face) Only if you turn on app lock with biometrics.

6. How long we keep things

7. Your choices and controls

Because we hold no copy of your weigh-ins, we cannot look them up or delete them for you. The steps above put each piece in your hands.

8. Security

Your data is protected by your phone’s own protections, and optionally by Tidra’s app lock (a PIN, with fingerprint or face if you choose). The PIN is stored only as a salted, slowed hash. You can hide Tidra’s preview in the app switcher. Data sent to Google Drive travels over HTTPS. We run no server that stores your data, so there is nothing of yours on our side to leak. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your phone locked and updated.

9. Do Not Track and similar signals

Tidra and tidra.fit do not track you across other apps or websites, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off. We treat every visitor and user as if such a signal were on.

10. Children

Tidra is for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Tidra is a weight tracker, and weight can be a sensitive topic: if you are a parent or guardian and think a young person is using Tidra, please talk with them and, if needed, a health professional.

11. Your privacy rights

Your data lives on your device and in your own Google account. We do not transfer it ourselves.

Depending on the state you live in (for example California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and other states with privacy laws), you may have rights to know what personal data is processed about you, and to access, correct, delete or get a copy of it, or to opt out of its sale, targeted advertising or profiling. Tidra is built so you can do all of this yourself in the app (section 7). For data that Google holds, such as your Drive backup, you can also use Google’s own tools. For anything we do hold (emails you sent us), email support@tidra.fit; we will answer within 45 days. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer with “Appeal”; we will respond within 60 days, and if you are still unhappy you can contact your state attorney general.

We do not sell your personal information, do not share it for targeted advertising, and do not use it for profiling or automated decisions that affect you. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and tell you in the app or in the store listing before the change takes effect. Older versions are available on request.
